Organizations, brands & the brand slug
How Berchtold's multi-brand structure works and what the slug in your URLs means.
What this does
Explains the three layers you'll work within: your organization, the brands inside it, and the slug that identifies each brand in the URL.
The structure
- Organization — Your company. Holds billing, your plan, and team members.
- Brand — A workspace inside the organization with its own identity, connections, content, and analytics. An organization can hold several brands (subject to your plan's limit).
- Slug — A short, URL-safe name for a brand, like
acme-corp. You'll see it in every brand URL:/brands/acme-corp/studio.
Switching brands is fast — use the brand picker in the top bar (or the Workspaces page) to jump between brands you have access to.
Plans & brand limits
Each plan tier allows a different number of brands. If you hit the limit, an admin can upgrade the plan or archive an unused brand.
Troubleshooting
- A brand isn't in your picker? You may not have been added to it. Ask an org admin to invite you.
- Wrong organization? Check the org name in the Workspaces page — you may have a second org from signing up separately.
