Connect Claude to the Berchtold MCP
Link Anthropic's Claude to your Berchtold MCP so it can read your brand guide and act on your behalf. This is the fastest way to get value from the platform.
What this does
The Berchtold MCP server connects Anthropic's Claude directly to your workspace. Once linked, Claude can read your brand guide, market intelligence, and tasks, and act on your behalf, drafting on-brand content, checking compliance, and pulling your latest signals, all grounded in your workspace instead of guessing.
Connecting Claude is the single most valuable first step in Berchtold. Most of the platform's day-to-day value runs through this connection.
Before you start
- A Berchtold workspace you can sign in to (you are already here, so you are set).
- Claude with connector support, such as Claude.ai on a plan that allows custom connectors, or Claude Desktop.
- Your workspace's MCP URL and Brand ID, both shown in Configuration → MCP server.
Find your MCP details
In Berchtold, go to Configuration → MCP server. You will see your server URL and your Brand ID.
Copy the URL. It looks like https://mcp.berchtold.ai/brand/your-brand-id.
You will paste this into Claude in the next steps. There is no API key to copy.
Add the connector in Claude
In Claude.ai, go to Settings → Connectors. In Claude Desktop, open Settings → Connectors. Choose Add custom connector.
Give the connector a name (for example, "Berchtold"), paste your MCP URL, and save.
Claude opens a Berchtold sign-in window. Sign in with your Berchtold account and approve access. If you are asked which brand to connect, pick this workspace. Claude registers itself automatically.
Back in Claude, the Berchtold connector shows as connected and its tools become available. Ask Claude something like "Using Berchtold, summarize my brand voice" to confirm it can read your workspace.
Claude only sees and does what your Berchtold role allows. High-risk actions, like publishing, still route to your approval queue in the Inbox before anything goes live.
Custom MCP connectors require a Claude plan that supports them. If you do not see Add custom connector, check your Claude plan or ask your Claude workspace admin.
